This CDL HazMat Endorsement course is designed for commercial drivers who already hold a Class A license and want to transport hazardous materials. Drivers with this endorsement carry more specialized responsibilities than other drivers, and the endorsement opens additional career opportunities and higher earning potential. By completing the course and passing the state written test, a Class A CDL driver can add the HazMat endorsement to their license. Participants who successfully complete the theory for this course earn an ACCS credential.
Academic Pathways: This non-credit workforce training course may also help participants earn college credit through Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) or articulation opportunities toward select certificate or degree programs at participating Alabama community colleges. Credit awards are granted solely at the discretion of the receiving institution in accordance with its academic policies.
