Course Description

This course prepares participants for entry-level and advanced customer relations roles, including frontline staff, team leads, and managers, as well as professionals looking to strengthen their customer relations skills. This course takes a broader approach, helping participants in any industry or role understand how their interactions, communication, problem-solving, and actions shape the overall customer experience, even when customer service is not part of their job title. Through online instruction and hands-on training, participants learn the purpose and scope of customer relations and how to improve their customer relations skills to meet customer needs and exceed expectations. Participants also learn about customer relations technologies and strategies for continuous improvement in the field. No prior experience is required, and participants who complete the program are ready to deliver a stronger customer experience in their workplaces. Participants who successfully complete the theory and hands-on lab for this course earn an ACCS credential.

Academic Pathways: This non-credit workforce training course may also help participants earn college credit through Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) or articulation opportunities toward select certificate or degree programs at participating Alabama community colleges. Credit awards are granted solely at the discretion of the receiving institution in accordance with its academic policies.
