An Innovation Solution to Alabama’s Workforce Needs
ACCS Credential
The ACCS Credential is awarded to individuals who complete courses licensed by the Alabama Community College System for non-credit training aligned to business and industry needs. The ACCS Credential communicates to businesses and institutions of higher education alike that the skills taught in the program have been mastered by individuals now ready for employment and/or additional education.
OUR SUPPORTERS
“Skills for Success allowed us to streamline CDL certification for our construction crew in just one week’s time, free to us. This invaluable partnership is imperative for our success at Southeast Gas.”
— SHANNON JACKSON, DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE SERVICES AT SOUTHEAST GAS
“This training is very important. It will provide opportunity. When I think about what our Community College System is trying to do it is providing the opportunity to improve your life through improved employment or compensation to help your family be able to provide for yourself and your family. Free of charge…there’s no excuse that it costs too much or can’t afford… it is provided by the taxpayers of Alabama.”
— SENATOR ARTHUR ORR
“Over 125,000 workers in the state of Alabama work in the trucking industry, representing 1 in 13 jobs in the state. Eighty-six percent of our communities rely on trucking exclusively to access goods they need to survive and thrive in these local communities… The ACCS Innovation Center has done a tremendous job at providing education programs for various in-demand industries and education programs helping ensure we have well-prepared and skilled workers going into the workforce and into our businesses. The Innovation Center, the Alabama Trucking Association, and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency have put together and developed a great program.”
